Charlie's Blog #36: Fire walk with me, ya know??

Fire walk with me, ya know??

Man it's been a long time since I saw Twin Peaks! But this post is not about that. This post is not about anything. And it's not about Seinfeld either, but I can't wait for that to come out on DVD!

It is my duty to inform you that it is my intention to blather on at random in a pseudo-stream-of-consciousness-esque fashion for upwards of several seconds.

Grover Washington Jr. is really good!! I used to listen to him a lot about a decade ago, and for some reason I stopped. Recently rediscovered, he is awesome!!

Today in Costco I saw a 4 or 5 year old boy with his face painted to look like a skull, carrying his infant sibling. It's January. Christmas in July, Halloween in January. Maybe tomorrow I'll dress up like Special Agent Dale Cooper. Or the log lady. Or the log.

It occurs to me that this kind of spewing at the keyboard may be a more speedy way of generating voluminous "content". Actually, this is inspired mostly by Jeffrey Rowland's blog, author of Wigu, my favorite web cartoon. Its really good. And the unleashed creativity of the writing in his blog is supremely entertaining! Man! Why can't I write like that?? Reminds me of the dreams I have, when I remember them, only a lot more funny! I dont think I've remembered one of my dreams in nearly a decade.

My usual method of writing posts is to fuss over them and rewrite them and fuss over them some more. This takes forever!! That is why I have a list of things I want to write about on this blog that is longer than the number of posts I have written about on this blog

Yes indeedy! This is much faster!

The relentlessly rational side of me feels compelled to offer by way of explanation that it's been quite a stressful day, and perhaps this is a way of blowing off "steam". Relentlessly rational indeed. Sheesh. Why do I write this blog? Why am I writing this now?? Do I really need a reason? Can't this just be one thing I do without a reason? RR (Relentlessly Rational) entertains the idea that all this may be for my one and a half year old daughter to read when she's grown up. To give her some idea of what her daddy was like when he was her age. So there are reasons and there are no reasons. How very "Buddhist Emptiness" of me.

I also once started a travel journal for "my children" to someday read. Long, long before I had a kid. I wrote up my first trip to China (it seemed 'once in a lifetime') and maybe one or two others until I decided it was just too much to do that and take pictures and video too.

Yes, I'm having great difficulty being random and arbitrary here. Sigh. Well then let me just say that purple frogs are delicious.

Swimming in a sea of orange.

Yeah, well there you go. I seem to be all out of random creativity and occasional reminiscences.

This is a fun little read: This Is the Title of This Story, Which Is Also Found Several Times in the Story Itself.
