Awesome!
Lately I’ve been hearing the term ‘Awesome!’ used more often, just like we used to say it in the 80s! Often with the added adverb Frikin’, as in “Frikin’ Awesome!” -- a nice addition to the expression.
So, what I wonder is this: Is the word coming back into vogue, or is the increased usage simply an effect of greater influence of my generation due to having now all become 30-Somethings? In other words, will saying ‘Awesome!’ date me the way someone who says ‘Super!’ or ‘Fantastic!’ is obviously stuck in the 70s?? ‘Cause that would be soooo not Awesome.
Otherwise, it’s Frikin’ Awesome!!
