OF PRACTICAL HOURS : 2.0 HRS/WEEK 1.0 SYNOPSIS This course shows the ways how to make curve for constructing highway, setting out for civil engineering works and mining survey. 2.0 OBJECTIVES At the end of the course, students should be able to a. Have the knowledge and able to do setting out for highway construction works, bridges and building. b. TITLE LECTURE HOURS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.1 Horizontal (Circular), Transition and Vertical Curves 6 hours - Definition, basic geometry, designing and civil engineering drawing for road design. 4.2 Setting out Civil Engineering Works 18 hours - Concept and theory of setting out for highway project, bridges and building. 4.3 Mining Engineering 6 hours - Method of mining survey and condition, correlation of surface and sub surface survey, central restraint, azimuth transfer from surface level to sub surface level. ------------ Total: 30 hours ------------ 4.4 Practical i.
