Friday Night Destruction Results (6/15/01)

[ Next Event ] - [ Previous Event ]

Commissioner B.T.O.F. makes some Announcements
We start off Friday Night Destruction with B.T.O.F. in his Commissioner Throne, and in walks the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, Calypso...or so he thinks. Calypso notices on the back of B.T.O.F.'s chair the World Heavyweight Championship that Arch Angel stole last week. B.T.O.F. says that because of the close finish to the Over-The-Top-Rope Elimination match didn't clearly decide a victor, that the World Heavyweight Title win (for Calypso) last week will be removed from the history books. Tonight on the other hand, B.T.O.F. will put Calypso in a World Heavyweight Title match against The Impostor. The Arch Angel will not be granted his rematch due to the fact that he stole the championship. Calypso notices a new BBA Championship on the other side of the chair, and questions it. B.T.O.F. announces that the new championship is the BBA World Lightweight Title. Calypso pokes fun at the new title, and compares it to the size of the World Heavyweight Title. Calypso tries to sneak away with the World Title, but B.T.O.F. tells him to wait until tonight. Calypso begins to leave, but in walks Mike Savage. We saw a couple weeks ago that Mike Savage showed interest in becoming the new BBA Commissioner. Mike Savage calls B.T.O.F. a "Big Tub of Crap", and wants to become the new Commish. He tells Calypso to stay out of it, but Calypso reminds him who the Administrator is. Savage and B.T.O.F. exchange a few harsh words, and Calypso announces that the Commissionership will be on the line tonight between Mike Savage and B.T.O.F. Calypso announces that the loser will NEVER be heard from again. Everyone agrees, and Calypso tries to take the World Title again, to no avail. B.T.O.F. says "Have a good day, and have a good match..." as the camera fades to black.

Match Number: 1
Wrestlers: Mike "The Spike" Savage vs. B.T.O.F.
Award: Commissionership
Current Commish: B.T.O.F.
Match Details: 1-on-1
Mike Savage hits the ring first on his motorized bike, followed by BBA Commish BTOF. The two exchange some words before the match, and Savage says this will be BTOF's last match. BTOF says that if it is, then he is going to have FUN! The ref encouraged both Savage and BTOF to stop the trash talk and to wrestle. What the hell is this? The Arch Angel is walking around outside the ring, and proceeds to take a piss on a bush? The referee gets distracted and tells him to leave the ringside area. With the ref distracted, Savage pulls a license plate out from under his shirt and nails BTOF with it, and then connects with the Heavy Metal Kick! The three count crowns us a new BBA Commissioner! Why the hell did Arch Angel help Savage become the new Commish? Was it because Arch Angel isn't included in the World Title match? After his victory, Savage gives BTOF a bushwhacker...Mike Savage is the new BBA Commissioner!
Post-Match Commish: Mike Savage
Winner: Mike "The Spike" Savage via Pinfall

Match Number: 2
Wrestlers: M80 vs. The Arch Angel
Match Details: 1-on-1, Special Guest Referee: Mike Savage
Mike Savage hits the ring, and he is about to announce his first match as BBA Commish. M80 will take on The Arch Angel? This is a miss-match, to say the least. M80 has been treated very poorly by BBA management the last couple of shows. Savage will serve as the special guest referee. M80 hits the ring first, followed by Intercontinental Champion, The Arch Angel. Apparently M80 doesn't like his chances, as he slipped Savage some money. Arch Angel immediately irish whips M80 over the turnbuckle. Outside the ring, M80 connects with some stiff shots to the face. Back in the ring, Arch Angel connects with a Dominator of sorts. M80 fights back and connects with a DDT for two. After a low blow, Arch Angel nails M80 with a clothesline. Scoop slam by Arch Angel followed by The Whale for two. M80 connects with a dropkick, and attempts for a Lou Thesz press to no avail, and is met with a spinebuster. Arch Angel follows up with a Book End, and does not pin. M80 hits another DDT, and follows up with the M-Factor! He doesn't pin Arch Angel, but is going to go for his Spinning Leg Drop. He connects!!! 1...2...and Savage stops the pinfall? M80 stares down with Savage, and Savage tells him to go screw himself, and his money (which he throws in his face). Savage connects with the Heavy Metal Kick! He places Arch Angel on M80 and counts to three! M80 should have had the biggest victory in his career, but that bastard Mike Savage screwed M80! Arch Angel doesn't even know what happened, and Savage pockets the money that he threw in M80's face. Are Mike Savage and Arch Angel on the same page? I guess we'll have to see.
Winner: The Arch Angel via Pinfall

Match Number: 3
Wrestlers: Calypso vs. The Impostor
Title: World Heavyweight Championship
Current Champ: vacant
Match Details: 1-on-1, Special Guest Referee: The Arch Angel
Calypso hits the ring first, followed by The Impostor. Calypso starts things off with a DDT, but there is no referee in the ring. A voice is heard, and it is the Arch Angel...he names himself the special guest referee. Arch Angel hits the ring, and Calypso and Impostor continue their brawl. Calypso locks in an arm wrench, but Impostor reverses to an arm wrench of his own. Impostor has a choke hold, and throws Calypso to the ground. Impostor follows up with a DDT, and a darkness choke on Calypso. Calypso makes his way out the hold, and irish whips Impostor into a clothesline for two. Calypso and Arch Angel stare down temporarily, but Impostor hits Calypso from behind. Impostor follows up with another DDT for one. Impostor connects with a top rope clothesline for two. Impostor attempts the Chokeslam, but Calypso kicks his way out of it. Dropkick by Calypso for two. Calypso attempts for the Walls of Calypso, but Impostor reverses his attempt with a single leg crab, but Calypso grabs the rope. Impostor doesn't like how Arch Angel is calling the match so far, and the two stare down. Arch Angel gets involved physically, and Calypso gets up to nail the jawbreaker on the Impostor. Calypso then locks in the Dragon Sleeper, and connects with a reverse DDT. Calypso leaves the ring, and connects with the Low Down Frog Splash for two. Calypso seems to have hurt himself on the move, as both men get to their feet slowly. Calypso and The Impostor stare down, but Calypso attacks The Arch Angel! Calypso connects with The Impaler on Arch Angel! He gets to his feet, to connect with the Twisted Piledriver on The Impostor! What has Calypso done?! He could have the match won if he only didn't attack Arch Angel. Wait a minute, Calypso is pinning The Impostor right next to the fallen Arch Angel. Calypso grabs Arch Angel's arm, and counts to three! Technically, Arch Angel has recorded the fall for the match. Does this mean? Yes! Calypso has won the match, and the BBA World Heavyweight Championship for the forth time!!! He overcame the odds of having his arch enemy as a special guest referee in a World Title match! Calypso celebrates for a few minutes, as Arch Angel and Impostor stagger to their feet. Arch Angel rips off the BBA Ref uniform, and the three of them stare down. Arch Angel wants to kick Calypso's ass, and Calypso says he can have the first Title Shot of Calypso's forth reign. Impostor leaves the ring as Calypso and Arch Angel agree to a future match. What a show, it was a huge night for Mike Savage, as well as the new BBA World Champion, Calypso.
Post-Match Champ: Calypso
Winner: Calypso via Pinfall
