New Year Nightmare Results (January 2002)

Final Event of Season 2!

Match Number: 1
Wrestlers: M80 vs. Flawless
Title: Hardcore Championship
Current Commish: Flawless
Match Details: 1-on-1, Hardcore, 24/7 Defence
Before this match began, Rob Sternberg made his return to the announcers booth!! He made his announcements that he is from the Network, Public Access. He is back to see if the BBA is good enough to perform on PA. This was a very high paced matchup. M80 and Flawless fought until every last ounce of strength was destroyed. Flawless had several attempts to putting M80 through a wooden table, but was unsuccessful. Finally after a million attempts...Flawless Powerbombs him right though it and pins him to retain the Hardcore Title.
Champion After Match: Flawless
Winner: Flawless via Pinfall.

Match Number: 2
Wrestlers: Chuck Fury vs. Above Average Angelo vs. Firestarter
Match Details: Table Match, Elimination
As we saw the week before...Firestarter enters this match with one objective in mind...to destroy AAA. Believe it or not, this is what I believe is AAA's best match ever! Anywho, AAA set up a table and shoved Firestarter through it, thus eliminating him. So the showdown between Chuck Fury and Triple A has arrived. Chuck Fury went for the gore...however nailed nailed the referee! Chuck laid AAA out on the next table and climbed onto a chair himself. He jumped off to a surprising Senton dive and thus breaking AAA through the Table! However no ref was there to make the call. All of a sudden, Firestarter comes back out and gives Chuck Fury Up In Flames!! AAA roles off the table, and Firestarter places Chuck on the already broken table. Rob Sternberg, who is impressed by Angelo's tactics, helps the referee up and the referee calls for the bell!!! AAA has won his first match!!! Why did Firestarter help AAA win??? Chuck Fury is going to be furious when he comes back!!
Winner: Above Average Angelo via Table Break (?)

Match Number: 3
Wrestlers: Real Deal Rob vs. Calypso
Title: World Television Championship
Current Champion: Calypso
Match Details: 1-on-1, 2 of 3 Falls (1st: Regular, 2nd: Submission, 3rd: Scaffold)
In this much anticipated matchup, Calypso finally defended his TV Title. This match had a lot of emotions and momentum. The first fall was long and brutal. Calypso and RDR stayed away from the Hardcore Rules for this was a strait up wrestling match. RDR hit the Done Deal, however did not get all of it. To make sure Calypso was out, he gave him his old finisher, the Last Resort. He pinned him to get the 3-count! Now the two superstars head over to the 2nd Match which was a Submission Match!! Calypso and RDR exchanged technical moves. RDR attempted the Canadian Maple Leaf, but Calypso managed to get free. RDR whipped Calypso off the ropes and Calypso slid under RDR's legs and went for a Rollin Walls Of Calypso and locked it in. RDR TAPS!!!! The Score is now 1-1 and they headed for the 3rd fall...Scaffold Match!!! As they make their way toward the scaffold, Calypso and RDR battled with their last ounces of strength. RDR started to climb the ladder to the Scaffold, but Calypso grabbed him and through him off onto a table. Calypso climbed to the scaffold...when the owner of the Dixon House Of Pain came out and ended the match because it was going to extreme circumstances. We are assuming that Calypso retains the title because it was a Draw at 1 win a piece.
Champion After Match: Calypso
Winner: DRAW (Calypso 1, RDR 1)

The Franchise's Promo
This actually happened before the RDR/Calypso match, but I'm putting it last because The Franchise is the World Heavyweight Champion. He was talking about the fact that the World Title #1 Contenders are The Impostor and Viper. He talks about Vipers lack of dedication, and the Impostors lack of moves. He was talking about he matchup that was supposed to occur after the TV Title Match, but due to obvious reasons, that could not happen. This is the first Pay-Per-View in BBA History to not have the World Title defended.
