Real Name: Eric Sargente
Ultimate E was the tallest acting member of BBA history. His stature and imposing figure seemed destined for BBA greatness, but never came to fruition. Despite wrestling for quite a while in the OWF in his prior years, Ultimate E never developed in the the superstar he was projected to be. His wrestling abilities were still green and rough around the edges, but nonetheless was still a feared opponent in the squared-circle
"Ultima" debuted at the last Radzicki Fieldhouse event in 2002. He had an impressive match with the also debuting Jack Black (later known as Albania and Dan "The Man" Alban) and Former Intercontinental Champion, Viper. Even though this should have been a walk in the park for a veteran like Viper, Ultimate E and Jack Black put up quite an effort.
A few weeks later, Ultimate E would face the streaking future Undisputed World Champion in Real Deal Rob. In what many may consider an ugly match, Ultimate E came up short of the victory again. Perhaps he was about to turn his career around, but that question will never be answered as he disappeared from cards for many months. Dedication always seemed to be lacking, despite his rather calm and collected backstage personality. He got along with everyone, but never really seemed to channel that into desire to work.
After a few sporadic appearances throughout the tenure of BBA's existence, Ultimate E would finally make a meaningful impact at the final PPV, "Realm of Champions II: The Final Approach." In a late minute replacement, Ultimate E was inserted in the opening contest for the vacant United States Heavyweight Title. However, just as what happened in his debut, he was soundly defeated by Viper.
His redemption would be rectified later in the show where he would enter the Hardcore Championship Invitational Battle Royal. Although not credited with eliminating Viper, he did get some shots in to wear him down. After accidentally eliminating himself, Ultimate E would make another entrance dressed as Flawless. He wound up being more destructive his second go-around, eliminating several BBA mainstays. He thought he had it won when he eliminated the ever dominating John Hanley, but former Commissioner Rob Sternberg had been hiding under the ring. Sternberg tried to eliminate him, but wasn't nearly strong enough to put the big man over the top rope. After removing the Flawless mask, Ultimate E soundly eliminated Sternberg and thus became the last Hardcore Champion in the history of the BBA.
Perhaps if he had been more dedicated to molding his craft, Ultimate E could have been a dominant force in the BBA. Instead, he still managed to make a lasting impact in his last match as Hardcore Champion. His untapped potential will always leave the BBA fans wondering what could have been. His backstage persona and genuine character always had a great impact on the rest of the Brawlers even when he wasn't turning in five star caliber matches every event.
