The Extreme Icon, The Franchise, John Hanley, whatever you want to call him he truely was one of the best. His short stay in the BBA was just another point to be proven. He is the only person to hold the OWF, EWA, and BBA World Heavyweight Championship Belts. Once the crowd favorite, The Franchise won the World Heavyweight Title at "Backyard Assault" in which someone finally defeated Johnny Shotgun. That very match supposidly ended the Johnny Shotgun's (Arch Angel) career. Then the very next show after the PPV, The Franchise turned his back on the BBA fans and destroyed Calypso in an devastating match. A couple of shows later, Real Deal Rob brought out Viper and The Extreme Icon, the OWF survivors and they all called out the BBA Leader...Calypso. In a turn of events, Viper turned against his OWF horesmen. However, the one thing we never knew was possible was the Real Deal Rob and The Franchise could team up after such a long rivalry. The Icons (Old School and Extreme) went as far as to throw Calypso off a roof which later lead to a scaffold match! After injuring Calypso through this...we saw the last show in the Dixon House Of Pain due to restraining orders. Calypso and the BBA still continued over to the Radzicki Fieldhouse. "The Franchise" was schedualed to fight Calypso & RDR in a World Tile match, in which RDR and "The Franchise" actually hit eachother a few times. The next show, however is when it got out of hand...Calypso did the right thing for the fans by vacating the World Television Title, but the masked brawler returned again to reveal himself as Johnny Shotgun, and beat Calypso to a pulp. The rest of the BBA came out to take out Johnny Shotgun and his Network. Finally RDR and "The Franchise" joined the battle. Finally as most of the battle moved to the outside, we see RDR and "The Franchise" standing in the ring with beers. RDR opens his up and smashed it as a toast on "The Franchise's" chest and thats where it began!!! The 2 of the went back and forth for shows until finally they met at Realm Of Champions for the BBA Undisputed World Heavyweight Title. Unfortunately for all of us, this is the last match of "The Franchise" John Hanley, as he hung up his boots for the last time...Good Luck John, it was a great ride.
