| "The House That Cried" |
| There was this house so full of dreams It laughed, it smiled, and burst at the seams It was full of happiness, laughter and joy With three dancing girls and one happy boy There was never a moment the poor house had peace The running, the playing, the noise never ceased Years later, the boy gave claim to the place He hammered, he painted, he washed its face He patted it ,he petted it and sang it a song He made it a promise when the owners were gone - He promised it always to be filled with his love, With the boy inside and God's sky up above It stayed young and happy until the boy died Now everyone calls it "The House That Cried" It wouldn't give the boy up, there was no need to try - It moans and groans and give a big sigh It's sobs are so deep things fall from the wall It misses they boys voice and his steps down the hall It looks so sad, so old and alone It has lost all hope since the boy is gone It is still filled with happiness, laughter and joy But all hope is gone for itself and the boy Everything was done to give it life again But it sits there sadly and thinks about when The fun and laughter of the boy was there With his sparkling blue eyes and shaft of white hair All care has now gone since the boy died Now everyone calls it "The House That Cried" |
