TANNING: |
Our tanning is done by professionals using carefully selected tanneries in the U.S., however, ALL TANNING IS ACCEPTED AT CUSTOMER'S RISK. Condition of acceptance: We have no control over any skin or trophy prior to our receiving it for tanning and/or mounting. Many factors have a definite effect on the final results of tanning, such as time of year, climate conditions, hot or cold, rain, or snow, and the care given to the skin or trophy in the field when it was killed. Occassionally, a skin will not tan or goes to pieces in the tanning process due to improper handling before shipment to us. Also defects in the skin cause problems for which we cannot be responsible. For these reasons, we cannot assume any responsibility or offer any guarantee on the tanning of any skin. |

HELPFUL HINTS |
The care you take with your trophy in the field will determine the way it will look when mounted. After the body heat has dissapated, wrap the trophy in a plastic bag and freeze. This will prevent spoilage and allow you to transport it at your convenience. Keep it cold and dry. Ice chest too small?? Put bags of ice inside a large heavy duty trash bag. Put your trophy inside a large heavy duty trash bag, tie the bag shut and put the trophy inside the trash bag full of ice. Keep it as cool and dry as possible. Remember, always allow the natural body heat of the animal to cool down before putting it on ice. IT DOES NO GOOD TO SALT A HIDE AND THEN PUT IT ON ICE. DO NOT SALT A HIDE UNLESS YOU HAVE REMOVED ALL RED MEAT FROM THE HIDE. |
FISH: Leave whole. Do not remove gills or internal organs. Be careful not to damage
the skin or knock off any scales.
Wrap the fish in a
wet towel. Place in a plastic bag
and freeze. |
SMALL ANIMALS: Leave whole. Do no skin or remove organs. Be careful not to damage the skin or fur, especially the heads of small animals. Keep dry and cool. Freeze in plastic bag as soon as possible. |
Big Game Heads: Please do not cut the throat. Leave more skin than necessary for the type of mount wanted. Do not cut from the front legs forward. Keep it cool and dry. |
Hunting license number and signature required for all trophies, regardless of species or type of mount. |
