One way speech when one IFC is made INS-ACT

  • As explained in the call processing sometimes it was observed that when we make some IFC INS-ACT the one-way speech problem arises. In CM-L hardware there is a jumper setting on the SSM, which is according to the slot i.e. jumper setting of odd slot and even slot are different and if the jumper setting is improper the one-way speech problem occur. Identify the proper IFC card and check the jumper setting and if the jumper setting is all right and still there is a one-way speech prob. change the hardware (SSM/PSM). Incase of CM-XL there is a role of corresponding EB and SB cable and check whether it’s connected properly or not.

One way speech due to SS problem
As explained in the call processing, the one-way speech problem sometimes observed in a group of four BMs and this is generally due to the fault in the PSS/SSS card.
As the SWC are active in the call processing this problem will be solved only after changing the hardware. Again due to the MB cable the one-way speech problem observed as this terminates at ACP cards.
•Excessive Noise in both SS plane.
In some exchange it has been observed that there is an excessive noise in the whole exchange without any logic of ECN as the ECN 15109 is mainly required where there is more number of RSUs and few co located BMs or the BM equipage crossed halfway mark i.e. 16 BMs; but still there is a excessive noise with both SS plane.
This is mainly due to the NSC as this generate clock and the same clock is distributed to whole exchange. Due to the noise in the clock (disturbance in the clock) there is a noise in the whole exchange.
Also both the NSC are in sync. with each other thus if there is an excessive noise in one NSC it disturb the another one also. Thus change the NSC card which will certainly improve the condition.
