| This is our big girl Roxie. Roxie also came from the League for Animal Welfare. I looked into her one blue eye and one brown and instantly fell in love. She was abandoned on a street somewhere near here. She has always been very affectionate and we think it is because she is so happy to have found people who love her. And she really is a big girl. She topped out at 99 pounds. And she also thinks that she is a lap dog, but can only get her top half in your lap. We put her on diet dog food and she gained weight! So our vet did some blood work and found out that Rox has a thyroid problem. After medication she is down to about 80 pounds. Roxie loves to play basketball and it is always her game of choice. She's good! Roxie lived to be almost 10 years old. Rest well. We will play basket ball again at the bridge. |
