Fraud Scam Alert

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are in the process of investigating a possible Fraud Scam from IVORY COAST, AFRICA. A complainant attended the station stating that he/she has wired a large amount of money to a person living in AFRICA. The complainant met the unknown person through the Internet. They struck up a relationship and the subject approached the complainant with a proposal to allow him to enter the country. The subject stated he had access to 10.5 million dollars and would compensate the complainant for his/her assistance. Police want to caution the public regarding any emails received through the Internet that may require your financial assistance. If in doubt contact police or phone busters.
