Well, since these guys are the only ones so stupid to go into this kind of rock'n'roll, it's not such a big thing to be 'the masters' ...
Anyway, Trumans Water originate from San Diego CA where they started off as a five-piece, later became a four-piece and, after Glen Galloway started his own band Soul-Junk, nowadays they're usually a three-piece. Usually, since lots friends tend to join them on stage from time to time.
The current power-trio line-up is : Kevin Branstetter (shouting and guitaring), Kirk Branstetter (singing and guitaring), Kevin Cascell (torturing the drums). Few years ago, they moved to Portland OR, Kevin B. spends his days in Paris, France.

Little detail : on January 28th 1998, I deleted most of this site (by accident of course !), and I am still trying to recover things at an average speed of one character per month ...

Yes, yes, 2/3 of Trumans Water will be sailing to Europe once more to catch up with the French branch of the punkrock extravaganza.

Dark European holes
All goes well with Trumans Water! Went to see the band in Lille. Kevin built the niftiest studio in the world, just south of Paris. Kirk is now a semi-professional lumberjack and fisherman, mainly fishing in his mum's garden. Kevin - drummonster & bowling hero - Cascell unfortunately stayed behind in Portland. Strict recruitment procedures resulted in Mike of the Bugs joining TW on bassss and John (aka the-second-best-drummer-in-Portland-right-after-Kevin-Cascell) joining on ... drums.
Lots of personnel, lots of recording. Slightly less releases ... can happen when you record without mixing. Kevin's guess was to release a triple album by Christmas. Start saving your dollars/euros! Especially for the $100 limited edition with extra pictures and extra drawings (and a extremely well-hidden bonus track!).
Oh yeah, the band also played. First some French extavaganza, courtesy of The-Artists-Formerly-Known-As-Freaks (now Friction). Followed by a very wide selection of Trumans Water classics. Lazy as lazy can be, most of the songs were from the Of Thick Tum era. Jumping guaranteed, woohoo!
Skipped Brussels on Monday, but drove to the pretty red-ish Carlo L�vi venue in pretty red-ish Li�ge on Tuesday (not really a place to go when you make $6000 a month). Same attitude, but loads of grass and loads of Leffe beers. More or less same setlist (and an attempt to slip in a new song), a little more lame. In no particular order: Janellopy, 665, Disindependence, Black Hole, Sorry Bout The Blood, Long End Of A Firearm, Limbs, Yakboy=Nurturer, Rock Of Gibraltar, Miss Spaceship, Rations, Knuckles, Large Organs.
If you missed it, you could have tuned in to the world-wide live broadcast of Wednesday's show in -of all places- Bissegem (national radio, that is!).
