The setup worked perfect. Notice that the caps and resistors running off the rectifier were moved to the top board. This reduced the clutter on the bottom of the chassis..
The solder joints are large and secure the caps to the board well, but to relieve any stress on the joints and posts incurred through rough handling (such as in shipping), I mounted them in silicon adhesive.
