Jodi and Robbie bought me tickets to Bruce Springsteen in Edmonton. So I decided to go down for the whole weekend. Steve said it was OK to stay at his house, and we had it all arranged when some friends of his invited him to Jasper. Steve then invited me, and a plan was set! We had some mishaps, like I really don't know how to ski, Steve's car breaking down, and me injuring myself. But in all it was a great day!
It was a great day. 10 degrees and the sun was shining. The snow was great, and the pictures tell a fun story.
I'm driving the Intrepid we rented. Look ma, no hands It's a beautiful place, but you gotta pay to get in. Toll booths ahead.
Why does Steve look so serious?

Postcard worthy picture!
The mountains inspired serenity.
Steve can, however snowboard, and learned to snowboard on both edges so was happy.
No, I can't really ski, but I sure did try.
After skiing, we went up to Maligne Canyon, and checked out the top bridge, and the bottom one. It was beside this very pretty bridge that I had my near death experience. I fell off a cliff. Ok so it was just a rock, but it felt like the cliff Steve is sitting on. Besides I got a huge bruise on my leg, a bruised shoulder, and I either sprained or broke my finger (I never went to a doctor, so we'll never know which).
And on the way home, we found a town with my name!

Oddly, Steve's parents lived there years ago.
The ducks were close to the car and I tried to get a picture of them close up, but had camera problems. Still I like this picture, see the ducks in the water.
This mountain goat wasn't scared of anything. Kind of like a Northwest Territories Buffalo.
Tons more pictures were taken. You can see Steve's on the Jasper link on his webpage.
