The inaugural Cleveland Dave Football League Hall of Fame induction took place Saturday, June 12, 2004 in the courtyard in front of
the Hall. The first class consisted of only one indivual, the man who began it all, L. Christopher Komandt.
Plans for the Hall of Fame began two years ago when league Commissioner Mark Trollinger first conceived the idea for the honorary program.
"This league has had so many outstanding participants
through the years," said Commissioner
Mark Trollinger. "We think an appropriate
means of honoring them is needed."
The site is located in the rolling hills of Southern Ohio in the town of Rodney, just miles from where the league was formed at the University of Rio Grande.
