Mission Statement
Chapter Mission
Individual chapters are the building blocks of the College Democrats
of Texas. They are free to define their mission as they choose;
however, the CDT makes the following assumptions about the basic objectives
of each chapter in order to plan our own mission and major programs.
Chapter mission: The individual chapters shall exist to promote the
principles of the Democratic Party by:
-
Campaigning for Democratic candidates;
-
Educating the college community on relevant issues;
-
Being an active, visible voice of the Democratic Party on campus;
-
Recruiting individual students into Democratic activism.
Our Mission
"The College Democrats of Texas exist to promote the principles of the
Democratic Party by establishing, empowering, and unifying College Democrat
chapters across the State of Texas."
-
Establishing College Democrat chapters expands the reach of our organization
and allows us to further promote the principles of the Democratic Party.
-
Empowering College Democrat chapters aids them in obtaining the resources
needed to promote the principles of the Democratic Party.
-
Unifying College Democrat chapters capitalizes on synergy. The individual
chapters are stronger when we are united through one organization to share
ideas, resources, and experience. This unity better enables each chapter
to promote the principles of the Democratic Party on a local level.
