Also of Thomas Leslie born February 21st, 1831 entered into rest March 30th, 1904. Also of Mary Leslie wife of Thomas Leslie and duaghter of Luke Bruce born May 29th, 1839 and died December 16th, 1919.

Thurstaston, Cheshire October 1st 1891, aged 6 months and was buried here.
South Face.
In memory of Joseph Ismay of Ropery House, Maryport who died January 11th, 1850 aged 40 years. Also of Mary relicit of the above who died June 16th, 1869 at Park Lodge, Lee, Kent aged 62 years and was interred here. Also of Mary, eldest daughter of the above, and wife of Richard Robinson who died July 19th, 1868 on board the P & O Steamer "Ripon", aged 29 years and was buried at sea off Malaga. And also of Charlotte, twin sister of the above who died July 29th 1855, aged 16 years and was interred at Maryport.

Ismay, Thomas Ismay, of Dundraw (1704-1788), was grandfather of Thomas, of Uldale, who was captured by the French and died a prisoner in Guadaloupe 1795. His son Henry Ismay, of Maryport (1777-1862), was father of Joseph Ismay, shipbuilder and shipowner of Maryport (1804-1850). His eldest son Thomas Henry Ismay, D.L., J.P.. (1837-1899), was educated at Croft House School, Brampton, and apprenticed to a shipping firm in Liverpool. In 1869 he founded the White Star Line. His eldest son Joseph Bruce Ismay (1862-1936) was chairman of the White Star Line and of the Asiatic Steam Navigatin Company. (BLG17; Window, Maryport Church; MI'sMaryport Churchyard). Arms Azure a chevron between in chief a cross pattee between two bezants and in base a cross pattee fitche all Or. Crest. An esquire's helmet Proper in front thereof a cross pattee fitche Or. Motto Be Midnful (FD7)."

Provides for an annual income and use of the house and contents for his wife Mary who is also named as guardian of the children. Bequeaths his silver watch and chain, tools and mathematical instruments to his and all his messauges tenaments or dwelling houses, lands situated at the Ropery to his son Thomas Henry. Bequeaths all his messauges tenaments or dwelling houses, lands situated at the Wood Street to his son John Sealby Ismay. Bequeaths an anuity of 25 pounds to each of his children, his sons Thomas Henry and John Sealby Ismay, his daughters Mary, Charlotte and Sarah Joseph Sealby Brother in Law, friends John Tinnion and Jonathon Middleton are named as Trustees and Executors.

Codicil replaces John Tinnion with Charles Stephenson Jackson

"I Thomas Ismay do hereby give and bequeath to Mr. Joseph Ismay of Maryport the son of Henry Ismay the sum of eighty pounds sterling. Also to my Henry Ismay son of the above Henry Ismay all my nautical instruments and watch or if they be lost or destroyed before he receive them the sum of forty pounds in lieu of them. Also to Charlotte Clark daughter of the above Henry Ismay the sum of forty pounds sterling. The remainder of my property of every description I bequeath to Charlotte Ismay wife of the above Henry Ismay of Maryport to her sole use and benefit for the sake of bringing up and educating the younger children. I also appoint the above Jospeh Ismay of Maryport sole executor to see the above purposes duly fulfilled also declare this to be my last will and testament and revoke and annul any formerly madeas witness my hand Thomas Ismay
