Sacred to the memory of Anne wife of John Ismay of Breconlands who died May 4th 1755 aged 58. Also Daniel their son who died March 29th 1756 aged 21. Also of John heir (sic) husband who died February 5th 1772 aged 75. Also of Joseph Ismay their son who died July 3rd 1800, aged 68. Also John the son of Joseph Ismay who died August 11th 1803, aged 28 years. Also of Esther the wife of Jospeh Ismay who died July the 29th 1820 aged 75 years. Joseph the son of John and Mary Ismay died at Manchester the 6th July 1822, aged 19 years, where a stone is erected to his memory.
Grieve not for us when we are gone
It is the Lord his will be done
When Christ doth call we hope to rise
Into that life which never dies (sic.) In memory of Mary widow of John Ismay of Brackenlands, died at Bunker Hill October 28th 1863 & interred in the Carlisle Cemetery. aged 83 years."3Transcribed by Rev F.B.
