In the name of God Amen. I John Ismay of Westwoodside in the parish of Westward in the county of Cumberland being weak in body but sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be almighty God for the same do make and publoish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I give and bequeath unto my son John Ismay the sum of ten pounds. I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth thse sum of one hundred pounds including the fifteen pounds her grandmother left her the legacies to be paid twelve months after my decease. I do also give and bequeath to my beloved wife and daughter Elizabeth all my household furniture to be equally divided betwixt them. I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth a cow commonly called great cow & lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personnal Estate, Goods, Chattels of what kind or nature soever I give & bequeath the same unto my beloved Wife, daughter Peggy the wife of Edward Tremble & daughter Elizabeth whom I hereby appoint joint Executives of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty ninth day of August in the thirty eight year of our Sovereighn Lord the King and in the year of our LOrd one thousand seven hundred & ninety eight.
