Dated Mirfield March 30/1754
My wife dreamt the night he died of a tree tottering and falling at the very home he lived in. THese dreams caused her much uneasiness About the 14th of May in 1750 I went to pay a visit to my unckle lately deceased at Downhall near Aketon Church and he then in his 84th year of his age walked with me to the church yard in order to view the mansions of the dead, particularily the sepculchral monument of my own father who died June 1 1749 and was then mouldering in the dust."
