Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring and Holy is the Lord were made with a 20 year old Panasonic Tape recorder, with a built-in mike.
I transferred the tape to a wav file, using a 1 megohm patch cable, and converted to MP3 format using a LAME encoder.
(The single,built-in microphone recorded closer voices at higher volume.)
I used a 20 year old Sanyo Tape deck with Dolby B to play the tape back into the soundcard. Holy is the Lord has Dolby enabled to mask the motor noise... Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring has an organ background, so the ALC circuit of the cassette recorder was sufficiently enabled to lift the recording above the noise floor.
After downloading, rename it to WinAmp291.exe
