Rabbi scholars maintained for hundreds of years that hidden knowledge existed within the Torah ( the first five books of the Bible... the books of Moses.)
Sir Issac Newton spent most of his adult professional life searching for a code in the Bible.
A Rabbi in eastern europe found the word TORAH in each of the first five books of the bible, when he analyzed the torah on index cards. WWII made most of us ignore his research.
In the late 1980's, three high level Israeli mathemeticians decided to try to replicate his work using computer techniques.
What they found validated the early work. They published their paper in the journal Statistical Science, and their work has been peer reviewed all over the world.
The reviewers fall into two basic camps.
Those who believe in God, and the truth of His Word... and those who do not.
There is even a third camp, those who believe the codes, but do not believe in God.
The non-fiction author Michael Drosnin falls into this final camp. Drosnin believes the codes to be true, but confabulates a story about time travelling space aliens to explain them...Thus Drosnin's books are a bit complex to appreciate. The code skip sequence
finds he lists in his book are apparently valid, I have no reason to doubt them.
It's just when he tries to figure it all out, and leaves GOD out of the process, he goes
off on an unfortunate tangent.
I have seen Bible Code results that made personal sense to me, when certain
things were searched for. I have seen names of friends and family, addresses, and dates, corporate names, movie titles, and the name Jesus, and the name/title Christ.
All of these occured on the same equidistant letter skip sequence of 42.
I thus believe that the Bible Code phenomenon is true.
