Summer 2004: Over the summer the Y.O.U. and UniTeens classes have doubled up for twice the fun! Jim Nichols, Theresa Dotson, Anita Brennam and Keelan Jones are our teachers and we are using the curriculum "Jesus and His Kingdom of Equals." If you're in grades 6 to 12, please come on in! We're downstairs off of Friendship Hall, meeting in the Y.O.U. room.
August 2001: We elected our 2001-2002 Y.O.U. leadership team today. Ethan Haynes is our new Administrative president, and Kelly Jones will continue in her role as Spiritual leader. Stephanie Green is now Communications, and Megan Haynes is Service. Heather Busey is our new Prosperity Leader and Jenny L. Nielsen is our Member-At-Large.
August 7: Last Wednesday's� "Youthisms" service was a great success! Just about all of us Christ Church Y.O.U.ers got a chance to speak publically about our beliefs and share our special talents. The service took place in the sanctuary, and everyone who attended seemed to have a really good time.
August 1:
The Y.O.U. is to sponsor and perform Christ Church Unity's Wednesday, 7:00 P.M. class/sermon on August 1! The topic is "Youth-isms," and each Y.O.U. participant will be discussing their personal spiritual beliefs and how Unity has influenced them. There will also be music, singing, and meditation.
This is the perfect opportunity to get to know our North Kansas City Y.O.U. chapter,� so why not join the fun? Plans are still being made, but the class will probably be held in the Youth Education Wing (the same area where our minister, Rev. Richard Maraj, gives his Wednesday classes). We hope to see you there!
