| Daddy's Home Now
We had an angel in our lives, Sent to Earth to help and guide. An angel always there to trust, Because he loved and cared for us. He did the things that angels should, He taught us what was bad and good. He gave us hope when no one cared, He held our hand when we were scared. He cheered us up when we were down, He could make a smile from a frown. He fixed us up when you were sick, And many another angel tricks. Today your Daddy earned his wings, His halo, harp and other things. So try real hard not to feel alone, For today God called our angel home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I wrote this poem for my children when their Dad passed away in 1999. He was my first love, my first husband, and my first best friend.
