Enjoy reading! Disclaimer: I do not own CCS. This is a product of what I have seen of CCS, translations from the episodes I’ve seen. A few words have been changed, but other than that, this is the full episode. Ok, so that’s about it.
{Sakura’s Dream}
Sakura: Who… is calling out to me?
[Shows Sakura on a tower w/ a yellow stuffed animal…. And then she jumps off]
[Sakura wakes up to her alarm clock.]
Sakura: Oh, it’s just the alarm.
Voice from downstairs: Sakura, your breakfast is ready.
Sakura: Ok!!
I’m Sakura Kinomoto. I’m a fourth grader at Tomoeda Elementary. My favorite subjects are P.E. and music. My least favorite subject is math. You could say that cheerfulness is one good thing about me. And my family… [as Sakura runs downstairs and sits at table] Morning!
Black Haired Boy (Touya): Why were you thrashing about in your room?
Sakura: I wasn’t thrashing about.
Black Haired Boy: For that, you sure were making lots of noise.
Sakura: I was just walking like I usually do!
Black Haired Boy: When you walk, it sounds like some huge monster is strolling about.
Sakura: I’m not a monster! This meanie is my big brother, Touya. He’s in eleventh grade. He goes to Seijou High School, it’s next to my school. He always makes fun of me… just because he’s a little tall! It’s so frustrating! Someday I’m going to become as huge as a telephone pole and… I’m going to stomp on him! [Shows image of Sakura stomping mercilessly on Touya]
Man (Fukitaka): You two get along so well this early in the morning.
This is my father, Fujitaka. He’s a college archaeology professor. He’s kind, and he cooks and sews well. I love him!
Fukitaka: Here you go.
Sakura: Wow, this looks delicious! I’ll have some now!
This is my family. My mother? My mother passed away when I was three years old. But I’m not lonely, I have my dad… and my brother, even though he is mean.
Fujitaka: Is it good?
Sakura: Yeah!
Touya: Thanks, that was good.
Sakura: You’re going already?
Touya: Morning practice for the soccer team.
Fujitaka: Have a nice day.
Touya: See you later.
[Touya leaves]
Sakura: W-Wait a second! (Eats breakfast as fast as she can) Thanks that was good.
Fujitaka: Did you have enough?
[Sakura nods.]
Fujitaka: Here is your lunch!
{Outside}- Sakura puts on her rollerblades]
Sakura: Where’s big brother?
Fujitaka: He went on ahead. Do you have practice today?
Sakura: Yeah, I’m going now.
Fujitaka: See you later.
Sakura (to herself, aloud): How far ahead is he?
[Sakura rollerblades and enjoys the outdoors.]
Sakura: There he is! W- Wait a sec!
Touya: You could’ve taken a little more time at home, right?
Sakura: But… But my big brother always goes to school with HIM!
Touya: Yuki!
Yuki: Morning!
Sakura with heart eyes: Wow!!
Touya: Yo!
Yuki: Morning, Touya Good morning Sakura. [Kneels to Sakura's level] You got up early today.
Sakura: Yup!
Touya: Well, she DID eat breakfast in five minutes.
[Sakura kicks Touya in anger]
Yuki: You’re cheerful as always, Sakura.
[Sakura, Touya, and Yuki head to school.]
This is Yukito Tsukishiro. He’s in eleventh grade, and in the same classes as my big brother. He’s such a kind, wonderful person, that I can’t believe he’s friends with my brother.
Yuki: Bye Sakura.
Sakura: I’m here already…
Yuki: See you later.
[Yuki tosses Sakura a piece of candy as he rides his bike to school.]
Sakura: Yukito.
Tomoyo: Slick move.
Sakura: Tomoyo!
Tomoyo: That was a slick move of his to hand you a gift as he is leaving.
Sakura: M-morning, Tomoyo.
Tomoyo: Good morning, Sakura.
This is Tomoyo Daidouji. She’s my best friend. She’s smart, pretty, and the daughter of the president of a big company.
{At the lockers}
Tomoyo: You were so cute back there, Sakura!
Sakura: Hoe?
Tomoyo says dreamily: How you held that candy with a dreamy look…
Sakura sweatdrops: Um, Tomoyo?
Tomoyo: I wish I could have recorded that moment on videotape.
Sakura: Are you listening?
Tomoyo has a hobby of taking photos and recording videos. She takes a lot of shots of me, but…
Tomoyo: Oh yes! I bought a new camcorder! Please let me film you again!
Sakura: S...sure. But wouldn’t it be better to film something more interesting than me?
Tomoyo: There isn’t anything more interesting, or cuter, than you, Sakura! I’ll start bringing the camcorder tomorrow!
[Tomoyo walks away singing]
I still think Tomoyo is a little strange.
{In the Classroom}
Teacher: And then, you will see a boy’s face… with his mouth open in the shape of an O. He must have been surprised. Will he think it’s a magical tangerine?
[Sakura draws a picture of the stuffed animal in her dream while thinking about her dream.]
I wonder if that was me.
Tomoyo: That is a cute picture. What is it?
Sakura: Well… today…
Teacher: Now, Miss Kinomoto.
Sakura stands up: Yes?
Teacher: Would you read the next passage?
Sakura whispers: I’ll tell you later.
Tomoyo whispers: Read from line 12.
Sakura: Will he think it’s a magical tangerine? Of course, it was actually a butterfly in disguise.
{In cheerleading,}- Sakura performs a backflip.]
Girl with glasses (Naoko): Amazing. You’re amazing!
Girl with pigtails (Chiharu): That’s cool!
Coach: Thanks Kinomoto. Next, we will practice the toss. Everyone, get your batons ready.
Students: Okay!
[Sakura and team throws there baton to a whistle, Sakura starts daydreaming while throwing]
I can’t get that dream out of my head… I’ll talk about it with Tomoyo later.
[Sakura tosses the baton into the air and in Sakura’s vision it turns into the Clow Staff. Sakura is surprised, and as a baton, it flies down and hits her in the head.]
Students stop there throwing to stare at Sakura: Oh?
[Sakura cries.]
Chiharu: Sakura is a great athlete, and she’s good with the baton…
Naoko: Yeah.
Chiharu: …but she gets like that every so often.
Naoko: Yeah.
[Sakura squats with tears and holds her head.]
{Sakura arrives home.}
Sakura: I’m home.
Passing a door, Sakura stops and says: Huh?
Sakura reads: “I will be coming home at nine.” Oh, dad is going to late.
[Sakura opens the fridge and is about to take out a dessert when she hears a strange noise coming out of the basement.]
Sakura: Is someone there?
[Sakura walks toward the room, clutching her baton for protection.]
Why now? Neither brother or dad are around.
{{Commercial Break}}
[Noise comes from the basement. Sakura scurries.]
It’s from Dad’s study! What should I do if it’s a burglar? I’ll just peek from the door. If there is anyone there, I’ll call the police.
[Sakura opens the door and peeks in. She walks down the stairs and searches the room. Through a row of books she thinks she spots something, only to find nothing.]
Sakura: Nobody is here?
[The book ‘The Clow’ glows. Sakura turns around and takes the book out of the bookshelf.]
Sakura: Huh? It’s that book.
[The book snaps open and Sakura panics, tossing it from her hands, but catching it again. She opens the book and takes out a card.]
Sakura: A card? [Sakura tries to read the card] Win…
[Sakura walks away from the shelf, book in hand, trying to read the card. A mist follows her.]
Sakura: Win.. Windy? Uh!
[A circle appears around Sakura, gusts of wind accumulating. All the cards in the book fly away. Out of the ceiling and into the unknown. Sakura drops the empty book and sits down.]
Sakura looks at the card: What is this?
[The book glows as a golden doll appears out of the book. He raises his head slowly.]
Doll: Konnonichiwa! (Hey hey!)
[Sakura sweatdrops]
Doll: Well, I’m surprised that you were able to wake me up!
Sakura: An Osaka accent?
Doll: Well, this book was in Osaka for so long, I’ve caught the accent.
[Sakura grabs the doll and begins to pull at it.]
Sakura: Where’s the batteries? The switch?
Doll: Whatcha doing?!
Sakura: Where is the voice coming from?
Doll flys away: I’m not a toy!
Keroberos: I’m Keroberos, the Beast of the Seal who guards this book!
Sakura: Seal? Keroberos?
Kero: Yup! Looking out for the bars in this book so that they don’t do anything bad is my…
[Kero looks at the empty book and screams. He searches the book.]
Kero: The cards are gone! WHY? Why? Where did they go?
[Sakura pulls out her card and gives it to Kero.]
Sakura: This?
Kero: This! Yeah! What about the other cards?
Sakura: I read WINDY…
Kero: Yeah.
Sakura: And there was a sudden gust of wind…
Kero: Yeah yeah.
Sakura: And they all flew away.
[Sakura and Kero begin laughing. Kero realizes what she says.]
Kero: Nani?? (What?)
{Dinner Table}
[Sakura eats dinner with speed, Touya stares at her. Sakura gets up from the table.]
Sakura: Thanks! That was good.
[Sakura takes a dessert out of the fridge and begins to run to her room.]
Touya: Where are you taking that?
Sakura: I’m going to eat it in my room as I study.
{Sakura’s bedroom}
[Kero is floating/glowing above the book, in deep concentration.]
Sakura: Any luck?
[Kero drops down to sit on the book.]
Kero: No. I can’t tell where the cards are at all.
[Sakura gives the depressed Kero the dessert. He instantly looks happy.]
Kero: This looks good! (Again serious) There were Clow Cards in this book.
Sakura: Clow Cards?
Kero: Clow Cards. [Clow insigna appears in background, along with flying cards.] When the Seal on them is broken, a catastrophe will befall this world. These cards were special cards made by an amazing sorcerer named Clow Reed. Each card is alive and possesses incredible power. But they all like acting on their own, and normal forces are no match for them. So Clow himself created this book, and placed me, the Beast of the Seal, on the cover. In any case, we have to get the cards back. So you’re coming with me!
Sakura: Why me?
Kero: You’re the ones that scattered the cards with the WINDY spell.
Sakura: But wasn’t it your job to keep those cards properly sealed away?
Kero: Well, I accidentally fell asleep.
Sakura: For how long?
Kero: About thirty years.
[Sakura sweatdrops, her eyes turn to dots.]
Sakura: And you call yourself the Beast of the Seal?
Nervous Kero: Stuff happens, k?
Sakura: So those noises were just snores.
Kero: In any case, the fact that you could open this book means that you at least have some magical powers. What’s your name?
Sakura: Sakura.
Kero: All right Sakura, Stand right there!
[Sakura stands up, and Kero begins to glow. The Clow insigna appears around Sakura.]
Kero: Key of the Seal. [A key appears out of the book and floats to Sakura.] There is someone wishing for a contract with you. A girl. Her name is Sakura. Oh key, grant her the power! RELEASE!
[The Key grows into a staff]
Kero: Sakura, grab the staff!
[Sakura grabs the staff.]
Kero: All right! A cardcaptor is born!
[Scene returns to normal, to a surprised Sakura. Kero eats his dessert.]
{Scene change:} Sakura blow dries her hair.]
Sakura: I’m absolutely, positively sure that I can’t do it.
Kero, bouncing on her pillow: Wow! This is fluffy!
[Sakura grabs Kero.]
Sakura: I know I can’t become a Cardcaptor!
Kero: Cardcaptor. The one who captures the Clow Cards. Doesn’t that sound cool?!
Sakura: I’m just a normal grade school girl! Even though you said something about a catastrophe on this world…
[Kero holds up Windy.]
Kero: Who was it that scattered the cards using this?
Sakura: And who was it that was sleeping instead of guarding the cards?
[Kero and Sakura glare at each other. A wind blows through Sakura’s window.]
Sakura: That’s a strong wind!
[Sakura tries to shut her window.]
Kero points to something in the air: Sakura!
[Sakura looks to where Kero is pointing. A gigantic bird appears in the sky.]
Sakura: What’s that?
Kero: A Clow Card!
Sakura: Eh?
Kero: That’s probably the FLY card.
Sakura: Woah…
Kero: This is no time to be impressed! Hurry up!
Sakura: For what?
Kero: The first job for Cardcaptor Sakura!
Sakura: EH?!?!?!?!?!
[The FLY begins to terrorize Tomoeda, blowing a gigantic wave of wind. Sakura has put on her rollerblades, and with Kero, is chasing after FLY.]
Sakura: Why in my pajamas?
Kero: What’s the world’s only Cardcaptor saying?
[Sakura stops to see FLY ahead of her.]
Sakura: I can’t catch something that huge!
Kero: Why are you acting so wimpy?
[FLY crows. Sakura and Kero gaze at FLY.]
Sakura and Kero: Eh?
[FLY blows a gust of wind at Sakura and Kero. Sakura and Kero fly away, but Kero catches Sakura, and returns her to the ground.]
Kero: Sakura! Your magic! The key! Do as I told you earlier!
[Sakura takes out her key and holds it in front of her face. Then she holds it in the palm of her hand in front of her body.]
Sakura: The Key which hides the powers of the Dark! [The key rises above her hand, glowing. The Clow circle appears around her.] Show your true powers before me! I, Sakura, command you under our contract! RELEASE!
[The Key turns into the staff, and Sakura grabs it. The circle disappears.]
Kero: All right, Sakura. The FLY card is attributed to wind. You should be able to capture it with the WINDY card you have now.
Sakura: Are you sure?
Kero: In any case, we gotta get closer.
Sakura and Kero: EH?!!!!
[The FLY dives at Sakura. Sakura ducks and it passes by.]
b>Sakura: What should I do? It’s flying straight at me!
Kero: Sakura! The WINDY card!
Sakura: Yeah.
Kero: It’s coming again!
[The FLY makes another swoop, passing her by.]
Kero: Use the WIINDY card, hurry!
[Sakura rollerblades away as the FLY flies after her and Kero.]
Sakura: But I can’t now!
Kero: Sakura: Something… I might be able to do something!
[Sakura rolls ahead as Kero gets caught behind.]
Kero: Whatcha gonna do?
[Kero gets caught by the FLY and zooms in the air. He stops in the air.]
Kero: Sakura!
[Sakura is rollerblading as fast as she can. Going up a slant, she jumps and lands onto the FLY’s back.]
Kero: Sakura!
Sakura: Wind, become a binding chain. [Sakura throws the Windy card and her staff touches it.]
WINDY!
[The circle yet again appears as Windy appears and wraps FLY up. FLY falls to the ground, and Sakura jumps off.]
Sakura: Return to the guise that you were meant to be in! Clow Card! [Sakura raises the staff above her head, and as she lowers the staff, a card appears and the struggling FLY gets sweeped into the card. FLY Card appears at Sakura’s feet. Sakura falls to the ground.]
Kero: Nice going, Sakura!
Crying Sakura: I thought I was going to die!
Kero: Nothing less from the Cardcaptor that I scouted.
Sakura: As I’ve been saying, I never said I would!
Kero: You’ll be a better adult if you have all sorts of experiences in your life! [Kero laughs.] Well, you did capture this card. Why don’t you try it out?
Sakura: What can this do?
Kero: Well, try it!
[Sakura touches the FLY card with her staff.]
Sakura: FLY!
[Wings appear out of the staff. Sakura giggles and flies into the sky.]
Kero: How is it? Doesn’t it feel good?
Sakura: Yeah!
Kero: I’ll enjoy working with you, Cardcaptor Sakura.
Sakura: Yeah…I’ve been saying! I didn’t say I’ll do it!
[Sakura and Kero fly into the night air.]
