     CHARLES A. CREEL 3rd, born Nov. 23, 1947

    I was raised in the Baptist faith of my parents and in 1976 was led to the truth of the gospel by my ex-wife Linda and fellow gospel preacher, John Kachelman; then minister for the Southside Church Of Christ in St. Louis, MO. I obeyed the gospel being baptized into Christ (Rom.6:3 & Gal.3:27) in February, 1976. John is now the minister for the Great Oaks congregation in Memphis, TN.
    I have two children and three grandchildren. My daughters' & grandchildren's names ages as of 7/01 are: my eldest daughter Amy Ortiz (24) and granddaughter Victoria (6-months.); and youngest daughter Kim Rivera (23) and grandsons Ricki (5) and Nicki (2). Both daughters are members of the Lord's church in the St. Louis area
    I was deacon in charge of personal evangelism at the Southside Church in St.
Louis, MO. I have preached at a number of congregations in Missouri,
mostly in St. Louis as a fill-in preacher. I have taken a few courses via
correspondence courses through the Sunset School of Preaching and briefly
attended a preachers school in Wood River, IL
    I lived in St. Louis twenty years and have moved back to
Hattiesburg, MS where I was raised. I presently live with my widowed
mother, Dorothy. I own a Heating & Air Conditioning business and now am
working with the Kensington Woods congregation. I am in charge of the
Tract Ministry, teaching adult Bible classes and have preached for a number
of congregations here in South Mississippi. I also serve as a leader for one of
our Personal Evangelism Focus Groups.
    I recently made a two-week mission/survey trip to Tanzania, East Africa. I
am now fully convinced this is where I need to be. It is my hope and prayer
that God will allow me the opportunity to serve Him in the Moshi area of
north Tanzania in the near future (November 2001) as a full time missionary.
I love personal evangelism and now have the backing of the Kensington
Woods elders and church family.
    I love God and His Word more than anything in this world. I love my fellow Christians and the lost of this world. I want more than anything to give as many as possible the same opportunity I have had to hear the saving power of the gospel. With God's help, I can use the knowledge of truth that I have to reach the lost in Tanzania for the glory of God and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
