| This is my first and greatest german shepherd, Shadow. He died August 1, 2005 at the age of 10. I got him from Petco when he was 5. I don't know how anyone could have given him up. He was the most well-behaved dog I had ever met, and so smart. Seriously, after him my expectations in a dog became so high I don't even like any other dogs now except german shepherds and a few other breeds. Shadow was so laid-back and friendly, yet protective and fearless. Sometimes he even seemed semi-human, except that he loved unconditionally, which is more than I can say for any human(except Jesus of course). I miss him so much. It is hard to even believe he is actually gone sometimes, but at least he died peacefully and painlessly with me at his side. |
