Jia Qinglin
Jia Qinglin, 62, joined the party in 1959. From 1985-1996, he was a legislator in the Fujian party congress and first CPC secretary of PLA Fujian Provincial Military Area Command, until he ultimately became governor of Fujian province.

Committee, Aug. 1997; member of Political Bureau of 15th CPC Central Committee,
1997.
Elected first deputy director, and director, October 1998, of Beijing
Planning and Construction Committee; president of Chinese Association of Mayors;
and first secretary of CPC Committee of Beijing Garrison, 1997.
Delegate to 11th to 13th CPC National Congresses; member of 14th and 15th
Central Committees. He is also a member of the National People's Congress.
