Into The Unknown.

Abraham was an old man, settled in his ways with his wife and relatives living around him, when God told him to take everything he had, and leave the place that had always been his home.
And Abraham did- he set out ,not knowing where God would send him, but trusting God to know what was best for him and all his family.

You can read about them setting off on their journey in Genesis chapter 12, verses 1 to 5.
God called Abraham out of his old way of life and promised him a new life.
Did you know that the Latin word for a church is ecclesia (we get the word �ecclesesiastical� which means �to do with the church, comes from it.)
And the word ecclesia comes from the idea of a group of people , who have been called out, from one place to another; like Abraham was.
So as members of the church, we are all called out by God, called to trust that He will, if we listen, lead us safely into the right place.
