PINE ON MOUNT HUANG
This painting was done by Hung-jen (1610 -1664 CE), a major figure in the Anhwei school of painters during the 17th century CE. He eventually became a Buddhist monk, rejecting offers of comfort, safety and official court positions by the emperor of the new Ch'ing Dynasty.
