              WINNER

   Stars - Switchfoot
Second: Take You Back - Jeremy Camp
Third: This Is Your Life - Switchfoot

Analysis
Switchfoot's "Stars" toppled AC Single champ "Take You Back" to earn the title of CHR Single Of The Year. Switchfoot also had enough support to claim third place with "This Is Your Life". And if you're a fan of the Southern California band, you'll probably want to keep reading....
              WINNER

Pray - CeCe Winans
Second: Heaven - Mary Mary
Third: Gonna Lift Your Name - Anointed

Analysis
This quickly emerged as a two-artist race between Gospel giants CeCe Winans and Mary Mary. "Heaven" had a big lead early on and appeared to be coasting to an easy win until "Pray" came storming back to take home an extremely narrow win.
Second: Homesick - MercyMe
Third: Held - Natalie Grant

Analysis
Voting centered around four mega-hits: "Held" by Natalie Grant, "Holy Is The Lord" by Chris Tomlin, "Homesick" by MercyMe, and "Lifesong" by Casting Crowns. At the end of this day, voters signed their name to "Lifesong", as Casting Crowns pulled out the win by a mere two votes.
Second: Are You Real? - KJ-52 (with Jon Micah)
Third: We Don't Play - GRITS

Analysis
The combination of John Reuben and Matt Thiessen from Relient K was a winning one for voters, beating out another pairing, KJ-52 and Jon Micah from Kutless, to earn the Rhythmic Single Of The Year award for "Nuisance". GRITS also received strong voter support to finish third with "We Don't Play".
Second: Caroline - Seventh Day Slumber
Third: The Wait Is Over - Disciple

Analysis
Not many artists have the kind of versatile popularity that stretches from adult contemporary fans to rock enthusiasts. Jeremy Camp proved he does, however, picking up his second CCMSingles.Net Award, this time for Rock Single Of The Year. Camp barely edged out two bands that both had huge years, Seventh Day Slumber and Disciple.
Second: Be My Escape - Relient K
Third: You And Me - Lifehouse

Analysis
The top three songs, Switchfoot's "Stars", Relient K's "Be My Escape", and Lifehouse's "You And Me", dominated the other nine contenders, picking up 2/3 of the entire vote. When it was over, Switchfoot had earned their second win.
Second(Tie): The Wait Is Over - Disciple
                        You And Me - Lifehouse

Analysis
Switchfoot makes it three for three with another easy win. The real race turned out to be for second place, with seven different songs factoring in the mix. In the end, Disciple and Lifehouse finished just ahead of the others in a second-place tie.
              WINNER

Held - Natalie Grant
Second: I Can't Do This - Plumb
Third: Pray - CeCe Winans

Analysis
Despite some voters wondering why she was even eligible, Kelly Clarkson earned the most overall votes in this category. However, Clarkson fans were deeply divided over "Since U Been Gone" and "Behind These Hazel Eyes", which allowed Natalie Grant's "Held" to sneak up and take the win, beating out Plumb's "I Can't Do This" by only two votes.
Second: Lay Down My Pride - Jeremy Camp
Third: Atmosphere - tobyMac

Analysis
This was the closest category of all, with four different songs coming within five votes or less of winning: "Atmosphere", "Holy Is The Lord", "Lay Down My Pride", and "Take You Back". But unfortunately for tobyMac and Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp eeked out another win, his third.
Second: Caroline - Seventh Day Slumber
Third: Absolute - Thousand Foot Krutch

Analysis
Songs under consideration for Radio Single Of The Year included five songs that had won in other categories, such as "Held", "Lay Down My Pride", "Lifesong", and "Take You Back". Despite that, however, the clear winner among voters was "Stars", which is an impressive feat for Switchfoot when you consider that many fans didn't even regard "Stars" as the best choice for a lead single off the
Nothing Is Sound album. Also worth noting is Seventh Day Slumber, which again received solid support among fans to earn second place.
Second: Casting Crowns
Third: Seventh Day Slumber

Analysis

Based on the results of the previous categories, it should come as no surprise that Switchfoot earned the CCMSingles.Net Awards' top honor, Radio Artist Of The Year. Casting Crowns and Seventh Day Slumber finished a very respectable second and third, but this was clearly Switchfoot's day with five total awards. Congratulations to Switchfoot and their fans!
Second: You - The Afters
Third(Tie): Inside Your Heaven - Carrie Underwood
The Way To Begin - Krystal Meyers

Analysis
Going in, this was perhaps the hardest category to predict. However, Stellar Kart fans refused to be denied, propelling the song "Spending Time" to the win with "You" by The Afters finishing second. Meanwhile, American Idol Carrie Underwood proved she has growing support among Christian music fans by tying for third place.
