Hello!��My name is Sweetie Pie. Actually, this isn't me. My owner thinks it looks just like me, but I know I am much prettier! Some of you may be wonder how I have created a page. We felines, as everyone knows, are extremely intelligent. I have indeed drugged my human just enough to climb on her lap and type using the hunt and pounce method. I have also fooled her into thinking I love her in order to get table scraps, but that's a different story. Here is my real picture: Sweetie the Vain
I�have two, much less brilliant, catmates. Jesse is my best friend (my human likes to
think she is, but it's only an act). This is a picture of Jesse Duplantis,
the preacher who Jesse was named after. You can tell there is an
obvious resemblance. Jesse (the cat) can
be a bore at times. He enjoys curling up and falling asleep whenever he can.
I think there are more interesting things to do that lay on a bed
and sleep. Even if it is the funny bed that swishes when we walk
on it, the humans call it a "waterbed". I have tried to tell
Jesse that we are supposed to hate water, but he doesn't listen.
I read it right in the Ten Catmmandments!� Jesse just blinks
at me blankly and tucks his nose under his paw to block me out.
*hmmf*
My other catmate is Cathy. Cathy doesn't like me. I don't understand this. When I first came here Cathy and I got into a few fights. Now whenever Cathy is in a bad mood she takes it out on me! I try to turn the other whisker ~ but sometimes I just have to hiss back. I never hurt her. Everyone know I could take her if I wanted to!!!
So as you can see, my feline friends here aren't the hippest cats (pardon the pun) in town. I need to turn to other sources for entertainment. Luckily, I am a very ingenuitive kitty. My humans also provide me with endless things to explore. There are the closets. Oh, these are wonderful places full of things to smell, and knock over, and pull on! When I was a kitten I used to love to claw my way up the clothes, or simply swing from a hem. That was before the accident. Now when I try to scurry up things vertically I can't seem to get a grip!��You can read more about the accident later.
I think my favorite things to do are birdwatching and fishing. I find plenty of opportunity for this!��I can sit at any window and spot a bird in the yard. We have birds that are easy to see, bright blue and red and yellow ~ purrfect! My humans also gave me a fishing tank. They bring in new fish to restock the tank with when I successfully debone those present. I don't get the credit I deserve for this. They never see me swipe the shiny prizes. For some reason, whenever I try to show them they put me on the floor away from the tank. But I know they are proud of me. In fact, they've helped increase the challenge so I can get better at my fishing skills! They put a lid on the top of the tank. I do my best to squeeze my paw down the cutout for the heater. The challenge is to get the fish without getting burned. It's a fun game and it takes a lot of practice.
