JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY

The spotlight was focused on a group of Freshmen, in the early fall of '36. This group was the largest class ever to gather within the halls of Calhoun County High School, but it was only a short while until they adjusted themselves to the new surroundings. Filled with anxiety and an ambition so typical of all Freshmen, the class plunged into their studies with the desire to become an active group in carrying forward the ideals and traditions of the school.

In the fall of '37 this same group composed the Sophomore class, with only a slight decrease in number and still the largest class the high school ever had. Already, this class had shown in the previous year, their scholastic and athletic ability, with the largest number on the honor roll and a goodly number on the athletic squads.

The Junior class has been busy this year in activities which will become cherished memories. We have had the pleasure of enjoying parties and other activities, one of which was a skating party.

Found in the outstanding group are three members of the Clarion staff, three boys on the basketball team, and approximately twenty-two members in the band.

Looking forward to our Senior year in which we expect to crown our efforts with achievements in this same group, we hope to find as much fun, excitement, and pleasure as we have found in the past three years.
