BASKETBALL

The Calhoun basketball team survived an average season this year by winning 11 games and losing 8. The team lost their first game in the sectional tournament to Spencer but in the last of the season we came from last to second place in the Little Mountaineer Conference.

Leon Gibson and Orman Ewing, seniors, turned in cutstanding work on the team this season and the team will miss them greatly next year.

Raymond Ewing and Eugene Bennett, juniors, turned in successful work in the past season and they will no doubt play better ball next year.

Don Stewart and Junior Owens are very good basketball players and they have two more seasons to play. Junior was forced to quit playiilg this season on account of injured eyes.
