Lake Pleasant, AZ Review

It was an all day event at a bass tournament, and Chris wasn't coming on till around 9:30. I got there at two, and sat down in front of the stage, with a few others there. I ended up meeting a few new fan club members, getting their first meet and greet and some other great people as well.

While we were sitting there talking, Chris came out on stage while they were setting up to take his own pictures, and he ended up signing autographs for people. One of the ladies I was sitting with had a litte girl who was 7 years old and wanted to up to Chris but didn't. So I took her up to him and he was real sweet to her, as he usually is. Then she wanted a photo, and he picked her up and took one with her. Before the show she was in love with Kenny Chesney, but now she is a die hard Caglehead.

He came out once more, when they were auctioning of one of the three guitars he signed (the money was going to charity). It wasn't going for more than $400, so Chris put down his camera and starting doing the auctioning himself, and he ended up getting $1300 for it.

There were there acts before him, two local and then Ray Scott. The first two put on a great show. Ray was great two, but I didn't get to see all of it because I had to go the the merch. stand for meet and greet. But when we were bacstage waiting in line Ray was standing ther, so I got my picture with him and an autograph for my mom. I told how my mom was a big fan of his, and that she couldn't come because the chemo had caused her white blood cell count to be so low, that she was not allowed out amoungst people for a while. So he signed it "Carol, Thanks Get Well!! Ray Scott". It was my surprise for her, which made her cry, in a good way.

Then I did my meet and greet, and I got my first hug from Chris. I had him sign a collage I did of him, and had left for him in Vegas back in Dec. when he wasn't doing meet and greets. He looked at it and said "I have this!". I told him I was the one who left it for him, and he said that he loved it, adn that it was to hilarious, and asked me how I did that kind of stuff. I also had him sign a wallper I made for my site, but liked it so much that I printed it out, (one for me, one for him), and he loved that too. I almost forgot, Madison, the little girl, also got a meet and greet, and was in heaven for the rest of the night.

Then it was time for the show. He put on an awesome show as usual. The crowd there was large, and they loved him. He did all the singles, and some from the new album. In his encore, he sang a song that had helped him during his vocal rest to get out of the funk that he was in, and he dedicated it to the Cagleheads. (Before you ask, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me). But when he got to the end he could barely get through it. Then he said "I'll never Leave you guys again". By that time I was crying with him of course.

It was a great day, and I met some awesome ladies, who I hope to see again. I will post the pictures soon, I am getting tham back tomarrow. It should take me only a few days to get them all up. Sorry it's so long, but it was a long day, I was at the venue from 2pm till 11pm, not including the 2 1/2 hour drive there and back.
