Evaluators
Michelle Van Horn
What I look for during an evaluation (continued)
5. The child will be interviewed and asked to read from a book of his choice.
6. I will administer a
Classroom Reading Inventory assessment test if you request.  Let me know ahead of time so I can have the proper forms prepared.
7. Photographs are a great way to show things you do.
8. I may audio tape the interview to replay when writing the evaluation so I can do my best to cover all the details.

What do you get on paper?
Within 2 weeks of the interview you will receive a detailed, typed evaluation of the meeting.  This is to be submitted to your school district's superintentent along with your portfolio.

Anything else?
I will be glad to consult with you about your program or any questions you may have throughout the year.  If I am unable to answer your questions I may be able to point you to other resources.  I evaluate grades K-6 and will do middle school as well but this requires prior written permission of your superintendend.

Scheduling:

Now is a great time to schedule your spring evaluation.  Contact me to set up a meeting.  I would like to do evaluations in April, May and June.  Please make an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance.
