| Cay Son's Lacquer Class has been teaching
Vietnamese Son Mai, the Art of Lacquer,
to
students from many different countries
such
as Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Laos, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, France,
Belgium, Germany, Mexico, Canada, America...
etc. Though almost all our students have no background in Lacquer or Art, their various cultural backgrounds and individual personalities have allowed them to create very original and unconventional pieces of Son Mai which will never be found at Art Galleries. We hope to share the fun and surprise in finding the diversity of Vietnam's traditional material. *Workshop orientation for prospective students is available upon request. |
