Rercently, Vietnamese traditional art of lacquer, SON MAI, has become well known internationally. But few people are aware of the fact that most of the lacquer products on the market, both local and foreign, are mass produced without traditional craftsmanship using chemical lacquer.

"Cay Son" will permit you to experience Vietnam's natural lacquer and traditional SON MAI.  Our gallery and showroom present genuine SON MAI pieces by skilled craftsmen and talented artists. Further, our private museum will assists you in understanding the history, science, and fascinating techniques of SON MAI . We even have workshop where you can join and learn the SON MAI painting. Besides this regular workshop activity, we occasionally organize special programs by guest artists, craftsmen and designers.

Our aim is to enlighten people's awareness regarding traditional Vietnamese SON MAI and to help it preserve this historic art form and hopefully innovate a new tradition of SON MAI.
