Weapon Brief

When the Vojec Raiders were in action, Mordred was assigned to hunt a Jedi named Wea Neros.
He tracked his enemy to a uncharted system near Berchest and after a spectacular duel, Neros was beaten.

After the killing, Mordred sensed a disturbance in the Force, which lead him into the ruins of a Sith Temple. There he found an old book with schematics of several types of lightsabers. 

He promptly returned to Coruscant and started to plan his lightsaber construction. After many days in the training yards, he concluded that two blades would kill quicker and easier than a single blade, but he was not convinced in the creation of a double bladed saber. So he searched the Sith schematics and found an ancient model, lighter and smaller than normal sabers, and constructed two. 

These sabers debuted in the famous hunt for Ther Elres, leaving nobody but Vader very satisfied.
