Camp Hialeah Army Post
A view looking towards the front gate
Random panaramic view
In the Summer of 2000, a friend and I were walking around post and we took a few shots from the highest areas of the base.  These are random panaramic views.

Another guard tower is tucked away in the trees.  Most are manned at night by Korean personnel.

At one of the highest points on post there was an Armed Forces Network radio tower.  This is the military version of radio that is broadcast on both the AM and FM bands of the radio and can be picked up virtually around the world.

Located next to the radio tower we came across this scene... toilet bowls, sinks and other assorted bathroom items scattered in a huge dumping area.  I've never seen anything quite like this except in a proper dump site... and yet looking beyond this location, the view is still one of great beauty.  An odd contrast to be sure.
Korean fascination with golf is obvious as you explore the city of Pusan.  Every few miles will feature an outdoor driving range like the one seen here.  The green netting is a dead giveaway.  This one is actually located on post.  Most stateside bases I have been to have a golf course with a minimum of an 8 hole course.
Despite the peace and relative quiet of being on such a small and beautiful post, there are always those silent reminders of why we are actually here.
