Camp Hialeah Army Post |
Continuing down the road from the Rec Center and on the way to the base theatre and commissary is Pusan American High School. It's rather small but suitable for our little overseas community. |
The gas station serves all military vehicles with either JP-6 (jet) fuel or unleaded gasoline. The privately owned vehicles also get gas here. It's located right by the front gate as you drive on post. |
The Base Theatre is a great place to spend a few hours on the weekend. Films are shown on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and evenings, and Sunday nights. The films shown are new releases approximately 4 to 6 weeks behind stateside release dates. The theatre is completely run by volunteers trained to cashier and run the projectors. The concession stand is run by USO volunteers. They sell popcorn, sodas, water and candy in support of our local branch USO. |

We do our grocery shopping at the commissary. It's very small compared with places in the states but it carries a good selection of items. Special orders can be made in the event an item you want is unavailable. |
This back road is the typical walk we take to go to the theatre and commissary. Traffic is relatively light on base with the majority of traffic being military vehicles. |
