My poor dog, he is so afraid I am going to leave him again, he will not leave my side. The dogs and cat are attempting to take over the bed. We are going to have to buy them a new bed or something.
I am in a ranting mood today ( hormones just a kicking it into overdrive!) One thing I have always hated is ignorance. In dealing with some of the goverment agencies here, I have run across my share of that. Dealing with the folks at daycare, the folks who write the discriminatory policies for the MWR, and the uninterested local school authorities, has taught me to become a fighter for those I love. It has also shown me what it means to be there for someone when needed. I had so many issues with these agencies in trying to get what my son needed, it let me see where alot of flaws in the system are. I was also lucky enough to be able to find solutions to most of the flaws. One thing I have been blessed with is an amazing amount of patience (and an attorney who has my back) when working with difficult people within these agencies. The ability to find a common ground to agree and then build on, has also been a gift of mine, as most people will agree. What I have found I hate dealing with is someone involved who takes on an apathetic attitude, and then sits back and blames everyone for it and gripes because they dont like the solutions that were made because of their lack of participation. All I have to say is that it takes a dog, and I mean a female dog, to go there. There is a famous quote from Shakespeare that I have loved for years, yet always seem to butcher, it goes something like this " Let the devil himself do what he may, but the cat will mew, and every dog will have his day".
Hey, on a more positive note, we have been speaking with the fine folks at the Fort Benning EFMP office, and they have given us 4 places that we can put in to be restationed to. #1. Fort Lewis Washington (my favorite), 2. Fort Hood Texas, 3. Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and 4. Fort Lee, Virginia. Bill doesnt really care. He is just ready to move, as he has been in the same place for way too l0ng. I am wanting to move out of this area. I love North Carolina and Virginia. I have never got to see the western half of the country so I think Washinton would be a great experience for all of us-not to mention that nurses make a fortune out west (compared to here). I would kinda like to go to Virginia though. I think that being there, and being able to go and see all the history that is a part of that state would be an amazing experience for the kids. I also think about North Carolina and the amazing coast line there. If anyone has some info about any of those places, please email me and give me the dirt on them.
Gotta go. Brandon and Raven laughing rather evilly--yea-they up to something!
