Brandon's newer assistant.
I am glad to say, (and so are the kids) that school is finally out for the summer. This is probably going to be one of the fastest summers the kids have ever had. We have so much planned for them. Both have a ton of field trips with Camp Courage, then there is the family bowling league on Saturdays, and Raven will still have karate every Mon, Weds, and Friday. So far at camp courage they have had a pool "party", and today went to a small park to feed the ducks and play a little. Since both of the kids got a HORRIBLE sun burn this past weekend, I was a little concerned about them being out in the sun. The staff made sure that they both had there t-shirts on while in the water. The pool that they had the party at was about 8 inches deeper than our home pool. This really bothered Brandon. I dont think he enjoyed himself too much. I am going to try to be there next time to help him figure out how its going to be easiest for him to "play". I will probably grab him one of the cool new floats they have and get the staff to just let him float around the pool and harrass the other kids. It hurts to see him unable to enjoy himself like he usually does. I think the float thingy will allow him a bit more freedoom. If anyone has any cool floatation device ideas, please let me know!
I had to break down today and get me a new pair of glasses. I have a feeling I am going to loose them, so I got a pair of cheap one's. I should find my old glasses at any time now that I have replaced them.
I had to go yesterday and have 2 teeth pulled so my mouth could grom. Yea, sounds crazy but my orthodontist swears my mouth wasnt big enough for all of my teeth. I was a bit freaked out over it, but it was remarkable painless. Dr Denamur is amazing! He let me keep my teeth. You know, as sick as it may be, I found a way to joke with the kids about them. I told the kids I had something very special for them each. They gathered around to look at my "treasure" I was giving to them. I opened it up and they freaked out! Brandon of course says "COOL!" Raven says "GROSS!" They were amazed by the teeth and how the roots looked. Of course Brandon ask me if it hurt, and I of course said no. Raven tehn grabbed her tooth and put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy to bring HER money and toys! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? So the kids went to bed last night with MY TEETH under their pillow. Unfortunatly, the tooth fairy decided to take some pain medication "just in case" the pain kicked in, and was knocked out for the evening. The kids awakened only to find no tooth, no money. We are trying to think of something that woud be appropriate for the tooth fairy to bring to them. I am thinking a note that says "Hey kids, I left your mom $100 for her pain and suffering. I am leaving you both a list of chores to do so she can rest. If you don't do these chores I will never come to your room again". Ok, I know, a little sick, but it really would be nice! hahaha
Better go...By the way, if anyone finds a "hydro-vest", please let us know. We are looking at different floataion devices for Brandon-the one we found is around $185!!!
