Ok, With Brandon's birthday coming up, I am having to learn to compromise with my dear husband on what I want to get him, versus what we are actually going to get him. I wanted to get him one of the things similar to whats pictured, with motorcycle training wheels, matching safety pads and etc. I planned to get one for both kids so that they could have a great time riding with each other. Of course I'd get the 2-way walkie talkies to be able to be within a few seconds of where they may be. I think with the proper securing and etc, we could make it work, and he would actually enjoy it. My darling counter part says flat out "NO WAY" because it w0ould mean that with the cost of gifts included, this birthday party/presents would be the most expensive one yet (around $1000). It is true, but its been a really hard year. If I could do something to try and help him regain at least some of the pleasures that he once had, wouldn't it be worth it? Yea, it would be expensive, but oh my God! Can you imagine how happy he would be, at least for a little while. Concidering we spent around $129 for his DS, andother $129 for his GameCube, and another $99 for his R/C Humvee, to me it seems reasonable, especially if I agree to buy no more than the gifts we already have. (2, both were under $20!) So is he being a Scrooge, or am I just trying to give too much to my kids?
Hey, just a quick update on the sewing machine. I managed to sew a straight line! Even more impressive, I threaded the bobbin(!) of course it took me about an hour to do it! I really can't understand why I cannot get it to thread when I do everything by the book! I am working on making a few "pouches" for Brandon's wheelchairs. I got some of the digital camoflage fabric tomake them with. It is that newstuff that they are making the army uniforms out of. I think it will be useful for him.
Guess its that time. If you have any advice on the stupid sewing machine bobbin threading problem I am having, by all means email me any tips you can before I injure myself!
