The Multiplication
The day before the discourse, Jesus had taken five loaves bread and a couple of fish, multiplied them, and feed a hungry crowd of thousands. The disciples had doubted so many people could be feed with so little, but Jesus showed it was possible for Him (John 6:1-14).
The finite nature of Jesus' flesh and blood is no hindrance to their being present, together with his soul and divinity, at the celebrations of Holy Communion. "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
