Home Intercession Ministry
Intercession is a prayer to our faithful God, who is slow to anger and abundant in His Divine love (Exodus 34,6) and is always ready to listen  whenever we call upon Him (Ger. 33,3).  A prayer where for a few moments one leaves his problems and thinks about others. Intercession is an intimate conversation with God who is also our friend  and talk to Him in the same way one talks to his friend and is convinced that God already heard his prayer  because as His adopted children He will give us whats best for us. (Luke 7 vrs 7 -12)

Intercession has always been, if we take a look through the Word of God we see the first intercessor, Abraham who in GENESIS chp18vrs 22  interceded for the people of Sodoma  and asked God not to destroy it  for the sake of the good people.  Abraham insisted that God may have mercy  even if He had to find ten good people. Moses also went before God in order to save the people. Moses intercedes for them during the battle with the Amalekites. (Exodus 17,8-13). The chief intercession which Moses is remembered mostly for is when  he went before God and fought a mysterious battle and it was then that God presented Moses with the Ten Commandments.(Exodus  32,1 34,9)

In a world where no one seems to care, a world of individuals, a world where no one seems to care about other peoples problems and where we are so busy that we have no time for each other, our ministry offers a group of intercessors who are ready to listen to you, not counseling, as we are not counselors but listen to your problems, hurts and  perhaps share a bible reading.

What we do is that once a week, 13 members from our community meet and intercede for all the people who asked  for our prayers , not only but every person who phones on television, radio and each one of us receive telephone calls personally and together after praising God  we present them to Him, He who knows what is best for each and every one of us.  Not only do we pray on this day but also when we meet in our community and  at every  Healing Service which we hold every month.  Moreover each member in the group of intercession presents all prayer requests on the altar at Holy Eucharist. There we present them to the Chief intercessor, Jesus, who is always interceding for us in front of the Father.

We, also as intercessors are present during Healing Services on the altar along with the
Worship Ministry and our leader Edward Spiteri, from there we intercede for all the people present.  We are also sometimes called to lay hands on the people present and say a special prayer with them. We also have house visits and  visit and pray with people who are in hospital. But like all intercession groups, our main call is to share in Jesus ministry of intercession, that is to offer ones life for others as Jesus did with the help of the Holy Spirit and our Loving Mother who is always interceding for us before  her son.

Above all we as Christians need to become like the Eucharist  and just like Jesus offered Himself to us, we offer ourselves to the service of others.
