Chris Cathcart: The OFFICIAL Home Page - chriscathcart.net
Hello. If you are visiting this website, you probably already know who I am, so I don't think I need to explain all about me, and why you feel such a rush of excitement at visiting my OFFICIAL home page! All seriousness aside, I'm relatively new to this webpage-making thing, meaning that I still have a long way to go before the page becomes really high-quality as opposed to this plain-jane format. In the meantime, the content should suffice, and that's what really counts after all, isn't it?

So what's on this webpage? So far, just a gathering of information and resources on my varying interests. I won't exert
too much energy building this page, as only a select few will ever visit anyway . . . right? Actually, it may be of more benefit to me than anyone else. I want a direct link to the website for The Big Lebowski? Well, what quicker way to get there than through my own page? It only makes sense.

Enough jabbering, and on to the important stuff!
My Interests
My Usenet Hangouts
A quick overview of what I like discussing - pretty much just HPO as of late
Objectivism & Philosophy
Things related to Ayn Rand's philosophy and philosophy in general
Baseball
Lots of stuff relevant to this great sport
Movies
Resources, my personal ratings, etc.
Sports Card Collecting
Stop me before I collect again!
Music
I like Steely Dan, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, and some classical composers (Beethoven, Mozart, Ligeti, and film composer Morricone).
I now keep an updated list of favorite albums and music.
Food and Drink
I enjoy drinking beer, not just for the physical sensation, but as an end in itself, i.e., for the gustatory experience it affords. I imagine that there is nearly an endless supply of information on the internet about beer, but the resource I have found most useful is RateBeer.com. You can get information on beers themselves and ratings from users just like you and me -- only some of these guys are real pros! You can view my ratings there as well. A great place to go if you're looking for really fine beers to try out.
Humor
The Onion -- Clearly the world's finest news source.
HumorFeed (Daily Headlines) -- More great news in similar vein.
News Satire: Open Directory -- And more (these sites are really proliferating...)
Anything Else?
If anything else important comes to mind, I'll be sure to include it here.
