My first attempts- I have improved since then... really
(and still working on it)

1495 Carpaccio Era Dress:

This was my first attept at doing some thing a bit more showy, i had only been in the SCA for about 3 months and had 12th night comming up. I was inspired by A dress from the betrothal by Carpaccio. i look back and wince but not knowing any better i did what i did. But giving myself some credit it was the first time i sat down and looked at all the parts to the dress, chamise, under dress, overdress and tie on sleeves... i even made the little baby cap scuffia. Definately a learning experiance.
1520 Cream ribbon frount tie dress:
This was the first bodice pattern I did by myself... At the time i did it i was sooo proud, it reminds me of a pirate wench dress, not my intention. its also the first time i had used boning in a biodice. Yes i still wear it occasionally, its comfortable. I found the fabric on the bolt in the by the last of the bolt bin at spotlight.... it is lovely cream brocade...
Appox 1515 to 1530:
This is the last dress i did befor i was apprenticed. I was and still proud of this dress, the first time I did something 'big' that I really researched.... (Later on learning better ways to research). It was a big investment for me at the time 15m of red cotton velveteen went into this dress, I even hand sewed the hem. Although I can see ways of improving it now, I still am proud of what I did for the knowledge I had at the time an the big learning experiance in making it. It was inspired by 2 portraits both by Titian.
