***24 January 2003 - Ronan Keating making movies.

Ronan Keating said that he wishes to move from his singing career and move on to the big screen. Ronan,"I've written a few screenplays, one of which is a love story"."I don't know if they will ever make it to the big screen, though. It's something I do in my spare time because I find it therapeutic." 

***15 December 2002 -  Ronan in "Westlife".

Ronan who has been Westlife's Co-Manager in the past is set to appear in the film ,"westlife : the movie" based on the boyband Westlife. Westlife's manager Louis Walsh will also be in it .Filming of the movie is to start during March 2003.

***30 November 2002 - Ronan in The USA.

It has been announced by Showbiz Ireland  that Ronan is to be on tour with Bon Jovi sometime in the near future.  Also Best  magazine in  the U.K. states Ronan has been  invited to perform with Dolly Parton in Nashville U.S.A.  next year. Way to go Ro!

***24 November 2002 -  Ronan Going once, Going twice, Going thrice - Sold!

The Online Celebrity Auction held for Children In Need was a great success which raised a staggering ammount of £22,155.The recently crowned 5 times formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher won the highest and final bid of £10000.Ronan Keating received the second highest bid, the final bid being that of Lynn Needham of £4305.Thanks to everyone who made a bid.

***19 November 2002 - Ronan at MTV Europe Awards.

The press spoke to Ronan on the red carpet where he was with Yvonne who looked totally stunning, and they were holdings like young honeymooners it was so lovely. They asked him if he had spoken to P.Diddy about the hosting and he said he had had a few words with him and he (P.Diddy) was in the dressing room  Crapping himself, then he made a funny face as if to say ops did I say that!! and stuck out his tongue. At the awards  he came out with a Spanish lady and said 'Hello Barcelona, 'how ya doing?' (made a change from the other 'Make some noise', that everyone else came out with) the lady said something in Spanish and Ro said he wanted to say something is Spanish as well so she whispered in his ear and he repeated what she was saying (with lots of facial expression and eyebrow lifts) and then he asked what he had said and she told him he had said he liked wearing women's underwear!! But he doesn't mind a joke against himself does he?  That was it really.

***26 November 2002 -Ronan the Rebel

Irish Sunday World Newspaper on 10th November 2002.Ronan's not an angel after all. There we were thinking butter wouldn't melt in Ronan Keating's mouth! It appears the former Boyzone singer does have a mean streak in him after all. Although he has never been arrested our Ro admits " I was cautioned a few times for stupid stuff, smashing windows, accidentally on purpose, that sort of thing" He also reveals he has watched porn including the risqué stuff "oh yeah, I've never really understood that golden shower stuff. Who could get off on that?" And he has slept rough, "when I was younger I'd go out with my mates and get absolutely paralytic then couldn't go home so me and my mate would crash out in a field".

***14 November 2002 - Ronan's Personality Revealed by his signature (Now Magazine)

Framed originals of these thumbprints are being auctioned by Famous Thumbs with profits going to charities Children in Need and Cancer Research.

Signature Analysis :The tall, stretched letters in Ronan's signature show a dreamer and idealist who's always striving to achieve his ambitions.  The closed loops and ovals also divulge his secretive nature.  The final flourish curling round the end of his signature reveals that he's protective of himself and those close to him.

Thumbprint Analysis :This is rather unusual - a composite pattern resembling two loops pulling in opposite directions.  It represents a desire to see both sides of the coin and ability to appreciate opposing views.  Ronan has a huge curiosity.  He's scrupulously fair and brilliant at settling arguments for other people.  On a personal level, however, he must learn to trust his intuition.

The Star newspaper Ireland. By Kathryn Rogers. Squeaky clean pop idol Ronan Keating has been shocked to discover that a porn website is occupying his Internet name. Young fans of the chart topper trying to connect to http://www.ronankeating.org/ are instead directed to a sordid series of pornographic adverts. At least one Internet search engine describes the site as “containing everything about the man you could ever want to know including tons of photos in the gallery and regular news updates" However, instead Keating fans are faced with a seedy site that is registered to a company in the United States and advertises hardcore pornography and adult material. "we  weren’t aware of this” said Keating’s manager Louis Walsh. “we find it bizarre that they would use Ronan’s name to lead fans to pornographic advertising. We’ll be looking into what we can do about it immediately. "Keating is one of several celebrities that have been forced into taking action against Internet squatters who have taken over their “virtual name.

***23 September  2002 - Ronan Keating's Stand-In

It will hardly come as any surprise that Westlife's Nicky Byrne subscibes to the ancient Gaelic customs of KIN (Keeping it Northside). He is, after all, the Significant other of our favorite north side Taoiseach's daughter Georgina. Now he and Georgina are planning to go back to her roots in Malahide. They have looked at the house next door to Ronan Keating's in Abington, which is very brave of Nicky. Isn't he afraid that bad album covers might be catching? Apparently not ! Besides, although Ronan bought the house for nearly two million pounds last year, he spent of the the year in Portual en famille."Abington is our dream house," Nicky told me. "We looked at it around two years ago when they were being built but Westlife were only getting big then so the price was still a bit high. We're still in Swords but when we have kids, we have always said that is where we want them raised." Incidentally Ronan returned to Dublin for the christening of his nephew but didn't hang around. Which is why, last Thursday, Yvonne did the honors, promoting the Marie Keating Foundation charity ball next Saturday night in the Burling Hotel. Atomic Kitten will share the stage with Ronan on the night. 

***18 July 2002 - It could turn out to be the hottest duet of 2002, as Enrique plans to record a song with one of the biggest names in Irish music. The Latin heart-throb has just signed a deal to record at least three tracks with Ronan Keating. The ex-Boyzone frontman joined us in 2FM this week, when he met 50 of this biggest fans for 'An Audience With Ronan Keating'. During the show Ronan gave details of the tracks he plans to record with the platinum selling singer. 'He's actually a great friend of mine', said Ronan, 'We seem to meet each other every time I do an awards show, so now we get on really well. I'm also a huge fan of Latin-American music in general and have always wanted to do something like this'.

***2 February 2002 -  Ronan Keating an Actor ?

Raunchy Ronan Keating says he plans to spend next year trying to crack Hollywood. "I've been offered some scripts and I'd be mad not to try it," says the Irish star. "I plan to spend most of next year out in Hollywood. I'm going to move the family out there." he told Frank Skinner's chat show on Tuesday.
Ronan also revealed he auditioned for a part in the hit movie Moulin Rouge with Ewan Macgregor and Nicole Kidman. "Yeah, the director Baz Luhrmann invited me over. But I was rubbish," confessed the former Boyzone frontman. "I was given one line. Baz threw me in at the deep end which was fair enough because there was a big line of people waiting to audition."
"Obviously I didn't mind Ewan Macgregor getting the role," quipped Ronan. "You can't be grudge Obi-Wan-Kenobi getting the part!"
